MAX POPE Releases a new track and video – “6AM”

Announces an EP, UP, released on 27th September 2019 via Caroline International

Announces a London EP launch show at Servant Jazz Quarters on 26th September 2019

Max Pope, the young soulful songwriter from Crystal Palace and raised in Brighton, today shares his new single, “6AM”,and its accompanying video. Max said the following about the music and video: “6AM is about the mundanity vs the surrealities of everyday routine, and also feeling out of place with your surroundings. We shot the video in LA which was surreal in itself for me as I wrote lots of songs when I was younger dreaming of palm trees and blue skies.

The video was filmed by Emma Fernandez, an 18-year-old Director/Photographer represented by Adolescent Content in Los Angeles. Throughout her body of work, she experiments with contrasting elements in different worlds situated between our reality and her fantasy. “It was an exciting experience to work with Max and create a world that embodies how the song should feel: bright and colourful with a touch of surreality”.

“6AM” follows the release of “Man On The Wire” , which Clash described as a “slow moving, hypnotic feast… strange, beguiling and ultimately fascinating”. Both tracks will feature on an upcoming EP entitled UP, due for release on 27th September 2019 via Caroline International.

Max Pope will play an EP launch show at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters on 26th September 2019 – tickets are available here.

Max Pope creates music that stops you in your tracks, making you see the universal experiences of life, love and loss and human connections and isolation, in a new way. A musical contemporary of Flo Morrissey and Loyle Carner, Max studied at the BRIT school and has also spent time working as a gardener, work he cherishes for helping him feel connected to the world.
