| ‘Vampire’ is taken from ‘Battle’ EP– both released digitally on 25 Sept |
“A fusion of alt-pop and rock with an industrial, gothic edge, ‘Vampire’ is a blast of raw energy, with its thrashing guitar riffs and hard-edged electronics.” – The Girls Are
“It’s a swaggering amalgam of nu-metal gyrating, gothic-pop wails, Sugababes-esque pop hooks, and doom-laden tenacity. It’s loud, confident, smooth, and wild – Lionface has something of an anthem on her hands here.” – TLOBF
“‘Vampire’, is a riotous, angst-driven blast of pounding energy. With Marsh’s growling, impassioned vocals, and dark industrial-rock vibes reminiscent of the likes of Evanescence, here is a track that will grab you by the neck and not let go.” – Gigslutz
“Bursting with alt-electro prowess” – Drunken Werewolf
Following its premiere on The Girls Are, Lionface has released the brand new video for ‘Vampire’. The track is ferocious alt-pop anthem, driven with hard-hitting electronic-rock and the powerhouse vocal of front-woman Kat Marsh [“a daring pop-provacateur” – Clash]; while the filmic video is aptly gothic and vampire-inspired giving the track’s lyric “I love the night, I fear the sun” a whole new meaning.
Lionface are Kat Marsh [ex-The King Blues front-woman], Martin Grech [guitar], Courtney Bills [bass] and Scott Claessens [drums]. The Bristol 4-piece have previously released two EPs Run for Cover [Feb, 2013] and Beast [Nov, 2013]; and more recently double-A single Girl b/w Stronger [Oct, 2014] which garnered coverage on Clash, Crack Magazine, Huffington Post and Killing Moon, as well as radio play on BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and XFM.
Lionface release digital 4-track ‘Battle’ EP on 25 Sept. The EP’s lead track ‘Vampire’ will be made available as a stand-alone digital single on the same day.
