Finnish electronic duo Phantom unveil video for ‘Over’
“Electronic duo Phantom thrive on allusion and suggestion, their dream-like pop extending in whispers across smoke-laden landscapes.” – Clash
“Sure, this probably deserves some kind of micro-genre, but we’re just going to call it what it is—impossibly cool.” – Under The Radar
“Wave jamming, brainwave activating chill out, left field, downtempo electronic music!” – Magnetic Magazine
Following the success of their previous single ‘Shadows’, Finnish electronic duo Phantom return with more of their haunting alternative pop and nu-trip-hop electronica in their new single ‘Over’, set to drop on 27th November through VILD Recordings.
Taken from their forthcoming debut full-length LP, ‘Over’ explores the dangerous nature of complacency in all areas of life. As singer/songwriter Hanna Toivonen explains, “It’s a song about the dangerous stillness that can take you hostage…you can become a junkie…it is about losing the ability to respond truthfully to yourself, and locking yourself in a treadmill of anxiety that has seemingly more comfortable seating”.
