Ibibio Sound Machine Announces More UK and EU Tour Dates
With Ibibio Sound Machine’s new album Chopping Mountain coming out on 11 September 2026 via Merge, the band are thrilled to share that they’ll be keeping the party going into next year with a new run of EU and UK dates stretching out into April of 2027.
Pulled directly from the hearts of the Eno Williams and Max Grunhard-led collective, Chopping Mountain is the clearest rendering yet of Ibibio Sound Machine’s longstanding mission of promoting love, unity, and resistance through music. Heard in clubs and on festival stages the world over, that music – an irresistible blend of organic funk, highlife, and electronic music anchored by Williams’ siren-like voice – is a liberatory, joyful call for community, in life and on the dancefloor.
Ibibio Sound Machine’s 2027 tour of the EU and UK begins on 12 February in Berlin, with further stops in Paris, Antwerp & Amsterdam as well as their biggest ever shows in Glasgow & Manchester, following already announced shows including London’s Islington Assembly Hall in November. All newly announced dates will go on sale Friday, September 4.
