Blush Puppy Announce Debut EP “Here You Dream” Due 27th March 2026 via Venn Records

Blush Puppy’s electrifying collision of emo, pop, grunge, alternative and metal, topped off with three-way harmonies, which are bound to become their signature, closed out 2025 with their immense new single “Under The Water,” which is out now via Venn Records. The single is described as the kind of tune that will circulate in your psyche for days after one mere listen. It conjures the feeling of early 00’s emo singalong classics, but with crystal clear production (courtesy of Grammy Award winning Adrian Bushby [Foo Fighters, Muse]) and a vibe that’s very much 2025 and beyond.
The superbly cinematic music video for ‘Under The Water’ is a nod to The Mad Hatters tea party in Alice in Wonderland. “We used the surreal nature of “Wonderland” as a metaphor, representing escapism, the feeling of being lost, and looking for somewhere better,” say the band. “‘Under The Water’ represents the feeling of drowning, but also the euphoria that giving in and letting go can bring. Letting go of the monsters we create in our own heads, by admitting they’re there. Sometimes we can hide things from others out of fear of them becoming real, but by inviting others into your head and sharing these feelings, you can begin to battle them together. Finally admit you’re drowning, and accept help.”
“This song is a special one for me because it’s the only song on the EP that was born with everyone in the room,” continues vocalist and guitarist Ciaran O’Sullivan. “The idea came to life together, and the whole track feels like a true blend of all our voices, influences, and personal experiences. It offers a glimpse into the world inside each of our heads – a submerged, dreamlike space that’s deeply connected to the universe of ‘Here You Dream.’”
With the new single Blush Puppy has captured this contagious energy and sonically powerful instrumentation. The combination of darting rhythms, alluring melodies and this gargantuan sound unite to provide an addictive and obliterating composition. The new track perfectly captures the electricity that each musician has directed through their creation, a release that screams authenticity, dynamism and heroic harmonies. This unpredictable air is emitted throughout the release with the intensity of the instrumentation and the flowing passages, and the tonality produced burns this weight into the track, reflecting this nostalgic pattern and nod to the influences of the outfit. ‘Here You Dream’ is the title of Blush Puppy’s debut EP, which will be released 27th March via Venn Records. “Each of us were struggling in different ways but with the same questions,” says drummer Harry Rogers when musing on the headspaces the band were in during the EP’s genesis. “These songs became a dream-space for us, a place to let go and breathe.” The whole EP was written in Harry’s shed. “It was pretty much always freezing, as it is literally a shed with a few seats in,” he muses. “But we made it work.”
Blush Puppy’s creative chemistry, and love of bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Boston Manor, Turnstile, Deftones and Enter Shikari result in a fusion of pop hooks, raw rock energy, and flashes of metal intensity. “For us, music became the way out, the only way to take off the mask and breathe for a second. We’ve all been through difficult stuff, family fallouts, loss – we’re just trying to turn all the messy, complicated and overwhelming feelings into something positive.”
‘Here You Dream’ is a five-track journey through fragility, disconnection and the search for release.
