Small Miracles Release New Single “You Know”

Cardiff’s most emotionally explosive art-rockers Small Miracles continue to unveil new musical directions with their new single‘YOU KNOW’— which is described as a shimmering, cinematic missive from the band’s forthcoming debut album ‘A Human Connection’. Following the snarling punk catharsis of ‘Bisexual Panic’, this brand new single entices with a softer yet equally powerful side to SMALL MIRACLES, trading in distortion and fury for glamour, heartbreak and grandeur.
Rooted in 70s glam rock with modern indie-pop melancholy, ‘YOU KNOW’ is built on swirling guitar textures, glistening synths, and frontperson Finn Fatale’s idiosyncratic, vulnerable vocals. The lyrics navigate themes of grief, self-image, and the exhausting cycle of reinvention in a world that often demands your best even when you’re falling apart.
“Sometimes when navigating complex heartache, every new thought feels old when all it makes you feel is the same thing” says SMALL MIRACLES’ bassist James Sarson “Sometimes you find yourself telling yourself ‘you know this, you’ve done this before, you’ve felt this before, you know, you know, you know’”.
‘YOU KNOW’ balances intimacy and spectacle, drawing on glam’s camp drama alongside joyful melancholy while delivering a chant-along chorus destined for festival singalongs and late-night car journeys. With lines like “Burn all the clothes you wear and make space for someone new” and “Wasn’t the past so good while it lasted?”, the track embraces transformation, nostalgia, and the sometimes messy journey of healing.
The new single fires straight into its course, this addictive course of meandering bass hits shimmering tones and the standout vocal melody. The lyrics are direct, filled with emotion and shift through the intensive peaks captivating from the first word to the last.
Break-downs give a nod to Joy Division and Manic Street Preachers with the brutalist tonality that bubbles to the surface for a few bars, then the track continues to add this euphoric glow to it’s contrasting feel-good crescendos. Despite the theme, the power of the patterns give this uplifting essence. Flirty rhythms, buoyant beats roll into the complex passages and this emotionally charged anthemic vocal delivery simply soars.
