SLUSH 1 Two-Dayer This Weekend At CWRW, Carmarthen
Featuring British Birds, Trust Fund, Getdown Services, The Family Battenberg, Pynch & More
New Welsh promoters SLUSH have announced the second wave of artists and day splits for SLUSH 1, their first birthday celebration at CWRW, Carmarthen. The two-dayer takes place on the evening of Friday 6th June and all day on Saturday 7th June.
Already featuring headliners Getdown Services alongside The Family Battenberg, Pynch and British Birds, the line-up has now swelled to 16 artists across the two days including the return of Sheffield’s Mock Tudors, the CWRW debut of fast-rising Sterling Press and West Wales punks Lacross Club. Weekend tickets start from £20.

Now a CIC (community interest company) promoting grassroots music across Wales, SLUSH began life hosting live music at the award-winning Carmarthen venue CWRW in the summer of 2024. Over the past year, SLUSH have hosted nearly 100 gigs at CWRW, Paradise Garden and Porter’s in Cardiff and at The Laugharne Weekend, with highlights including Jeffrey Lewis, MWSOG, Don Leisure & Andy Votel, Slate, Wave Pictures, Better Joy, Heavy Lungs, Cerys Hafana and Pictish Trail. SLUSH also organised the SWIGOD! celebration of Libertino Records and the new Brechdan all-dayer of new Welsh music.

CWRW is a multi-award-winning small venue in Carmarthen, West Wales. The venue (formerly The Parrot) hosts live music every week and its stage has been played by Adwaith, Gwenno, Cate Le Bon, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci and just about every emerging creative in the region. CWRW is an accessible 120-capacity space with the Tangled Parrot independent record shop upstairs, alongside the new recording and rehearsal space CWRW Studios.
