Today the band have made their captivating debut with the release of their new single “Far Away So Close”. The rhtymically charged track is out now via BWGiBWGAN.
This is the sound of love realized mid-rush; sweaty, strange, and impossibly sincere. Built on the chemistry of core trio Gabriel Lester (Guitar/Vocals), Les Davies (Bass), and Hadi Checri (Percussion), the group expands into a five-piece collective with the addition of William Dadswell (Violin) and Dilibe Aneke (Guitar) — blending raw post-punk textures with emotional grit and cinematic tension.
‘Far Away So Close’ borrows its name from Wim Wenders’ cult film, but the story here is personal: the quiet earthquake of falling for someone who’s already in your orbit. As Gabriel Lester sings, “And in the future will it all make sense? / It matters that we made it / It matters that we left,” the track stares into the uncertainty of love with unflinching heart.
And then there’s the lyric that lingers like a secret: “Meet me in the bathroom / I’ll be doing my hair.” It’s a half-smile moment — knowing, private, electric. A quiet invitation wrapped in a noisy night. A nod to The Strokes, sure — but also a perfect distillation of the track’s emotional duality: messy and tender, unspoken and undeniable.

The track came to life in a ramshackle Cardiff rehearsal space and was recorded DIY-style in a West Ham studio found through a Facebook callout.
