Portals Festival 2025 Announce New Lineup Additions & Day Splits

Kalandra, Waldo’s Gift, Long Distance Calling & more added to Portals Festival 2025 with day splits announced

Portals Festival 2025 will take place at EartH (Hackney) 24th & 25th May 2025

Nordic folk-inspired gritty yet ethereal prog/post-rockers Kalandra will headline the Theatre stage at EartH on Saturday 24th May. Their enthralling enigmatic presence will cap off a monumental day.

 Also announced for Saturday is a rare UK performance for German post-rock stalwarts Long Distance Calling, and a late-night Bar stage set for Irish experimental math/noise-rock ravers God Alone. The day will be headlined by St. Louis alt/indie rockers Foxing.

On Sunday, Waldo’s Gift will bring their electrifying jazz infused math-rock to Portals. Also announced are Spanish post-rockers EXXASENS, London post-rock/metal trio Mountainscape & hyperpop/electronica producer Nøelle. Topping the bill on Sunday will be genre-fluid experimental maverick Julie Christmas.

Portals Festival 2025 will also feature sets by the likes of Brontide, Mouse on the Keys, Totorro, FAZI & many more.

2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the first ever Portals gig: a small all-dayer at the New Cross Inn.

Kalandra are a band we’ve been aware of for a very long time. Their 2024 album ‘A Frame of Mind’ was a phenomenal combination of genres from prog to folk-rock and one of the best albums of last year. We’re very excited they can join the lineup alongside some of our favourite bands of all time.
