Portals Festival has announced the headliners for the seventh edition of the festival.
St. Louis alternative / indie / post-rock band Foxing will headline the Saturday night of the festival. Fresh off the back of the release of their latest record, which incorporated a broad dynamic range with a profound emotional impact, Foxing will play songs from across their catalogue.
The Sunday night headliner will be Julie Christmas, performing a rare UK show. Her first record in 14 years ‘Ridiculous and Full of Blood’ was released earlier in 2024 and spans genres from alt-pop to post-metal. Her collaborations with Guitarist/ vocalist Johannes Persson (Cult of Luna), drummer Chris Enriquez (Spotlights), bassist / producer Andrew Schneider, guitarist John LaMacchia (Candiria) and keyboardist extraordinaire Tom Tierney were all paramount in bringing these new, genre-smashing tunes to life.
Also announced are Mexican post-hardcore rising stars Joliette, innovative electronica producer Lys Morke, alternative-rock / prog quartet Giant Walker, Norwich alternative post-hardcore band Other Half, emo / post-rockers Incaseyouleave and alternative / post-rock ones-to-watch World Coda.
They join bands that have already been announced including Brontide, Mouse on the Keys, yndi halda, Totorro, FAZI, Cats and Cats and Cats, The Fierce and the Dead & many more, with yet more still to be announced in the new year.
