CIRCUIT DES YEUX RELEASES NEW SONG

‘GOD DICK’

ANNOUNCES 2025 UK, EUROPEAN AND US FULL BAND TOUR DATES

Circuit des Yeux, the moniker of singer and multi-instrumentalist Haley Fohr, has released new song ‘GOD DICK’. A connective sonic link between Circuit des Yeux’s acclaimed last album, -io, and a new one to follow in the new year on Matador, ‘GOD DICK’ morphs from symphonic swells and staccato strings to a spiraling 170 BPM drum machine cliffhanger, narrated by Fohr’s sonorous vocal

An absolutely epic ensemble, the track utilizes fierce strings and darker tonalities, the pairing and the intensive drums all become this industrial force for Fohr’s unique and dynamic vocal range to flourish alongside. An explosive return to form.

“GOD DICK serves as a sort of chrysalis function,” says Fohr, “it’s passage leading from the past toward things to come. It’s sweaty, exponential, cacophonous, growing, symphonic, and relentless.  I wrote this as an effort to embody a state of change fueled by deep wanting. I sonically (and visually) imagined something huge hiding in a skin much too small for it – a kind of love banshee bursting through porcelain skin one hair at a time until finally, the beast within is fully on display.”

CdY has also announced new tour dates for 2025 which will see her performing with a full band in the UK and Europe, as well as solo performances supporting Alan Sparkhawk. A full list of upcoming shows (including North American dates as part of the Bill Nace & Haley Fohr duo) can be found below.

Circuit des Yeux released her Matador debut -io at the end of 2021 to widespread acclaim. The Times called it “strikingly original”, and The Washington Post described it as “an artistic triumph”. It was highlighted as one of the best albums of the year by NPR, Crack, The Wire, and others. The album was remixed by musician Claire Rousay for an EP titled Sunset Poem in 2022. The live tour for -io saw Fohr performing and adapting music from the album alongside local orchestral ensembles in different cities and countries, including New York, Chicago, Bern, London, The Hague, Ljubljana, Zaragoza, Lisbon and Espinho. She has since composed, scored and performed pieces alongside artists including Bergamot Quartet, Erika Dohi, the Brooklyn Youth Chorus choir, and Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe.
