INDIGOS Release New Single “Prima Donna”
Taken From New EP “In Utopia” Which Is Out Now
Back in the summer of 2020 when the world was at a standstill, we sought our time to escape with the discovery of new music, one of the bands that gripped us as this fresh new and exciting act was Bristol-based band INDIGOS. We were hooked on the quality of the music this outfit unleashed, and now we are delighted to share more music from the pair as they’ve just released their flawless new EP “In Utopia”
To celebrate the release, the duo have now shared a new single Prima Donna. A song about ego, plain and simple. Success goes to your head and you play out the role of it, at the expense of the people around you.
Prima Donna captures the infectious energy of the entire EP. The track blisters into action with the fierce and ardent instrumentation and the raw lyrics and dual harmonies capturing this elevated touch throughout the journey. Shifting through the complex course and the depth of the low-end, boisterous drum hits and the immense wall of fuzz. As with their previous releases, the power comes through the vocal notes that glide through the mammoth soundscape, whilst the fierce tonality grows, the complimenting vocals, and their brooding grunge tones simply soar. This hypnotic rhythm commands the full attention of the listener, as the tones pulsate with power the vocal notes intensify with the expressive backdrop and every attribute captures this vital character. INDIGOS deliver.
After self-releasing two singles, INDIGOS were picked up by record label Club AC30, who went on to release their debut self-titled EP in 2020, co-produced by Lee Kiernan of IDLES. Shortly after, however, they were forced into hiatus due to founding member Jack falling ill. Now, after a successful battle with cancer, INDIGOS are back in fighting form with new music and a new outlook on life.
Impressed by their latest single above, embrace their sophomore EP in all its glory. The EP exudes this timeless feel whilst still capturing this innovative impression and aggressive allurement. INDIGOS are back on top form.
