Announces November Tour

Welsh-based artist Cara Hammond has unveiled a new video for acclaimed new single ‘America’ and announced her Debut UK Tour which will be in November. Support on the tour comes from Rebecca Hurn.

The americana influence resonates in the crisp guitar tonality which dazzles throughout. The soundscape brings gentle strokes on the guitar to collide with the overdriving electric guitar and the consuming vocal harmonies. The vocal melodies deliver such an intoxicating influence within the creation, capturing intimacy and heartfelt harmonic hues. Cara‘s direct and expressive tones soar above the landscape which just oozes character. The power of this release and the vast range of Hammond’s melodies result in this consuming composition which sweeps the audience into the midst of these gripping rhythms and visceral textures.

Cara brings this magical touch to their arrangement that draws a deep connection to the landscape and the listener. A release embracing an array of feelings.

I wrote America after returning from showcasing at SXSW 2022. At the beginning of 2022 I’d been dropped by my label & left my management, so when I was invited to play this huge festival in Austin, Texas, I couldn’t have been happier. I spent all my time practicing, planning and emailing industry in the lead up that I didn’t give anything else much thought. SXSW was a dream so when it ended, I landed home with a bump. The weeks after that I felt very lost and unsure what my next step was. Luckily songwriting held the answer and America was born on a rainy day in Dolgellau, North Wales.
