Rose City Band Announce New UK & Europe Tour Dates for November 2023

Following their recent run of sold out shows and festivals for their new album Garden PartyRose City Band have announced a full band return tour to U.K and Europe in November 2023. Led by acclaimed guitarist and vocalist Ripley Johnson, Rose City Band features some of the finest players in contemporary rock: pedal steel guitarist Barry Walker, keyboardist Paul Hasenberg, bassist Dewey Mahood (aka Plankton Wat) and drummer Dustin Dybvig“The guys in the band are all really enthusiastic about music, they all want to play,” says Johnson. “They come alive on stage and get this energy that is just so contagious.”

In addition to the energy of their shows, Rose City Band expands the songs from Garden Party, extending out into motorik grooves, hazy psychedelic drift and blistering solos. Each show is unique, subtly altered from the ones that came before it. Explains Johnson; “The live show is so ephemeral, it’s a different type of beauty…Idon’t like recreating the record live. I find it’s often better, especially live, if someone brings something you hadn’t thought of like a different bass line or keyboard sound. It keeps it fresh to me.”

Released on 12 April, Garden Party was recorded largely at Center for Sound, Light, and Color Therapy in Portland and mixed by John McEntire.
