Pitchfork London announces second wave of ground-breaking acts for third festival edition – taking place across multiple London venues from 7-13 November 2023

Pitchfork Music Festival London is delighted to announce the second wave of artists for their third edition, taking place across multiple London venues from 7-13 November 2023. 

The festival is delighted to welcome MOBO award-winning jazz quintet EzraCollective for a special opening event at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall on November 7th. The show will feature special guests in support, and is set to be a true celebration of the capital’s nu-jazz explosion in perhaps the city’s most famous venue. Korean rap phenomenon BalmingTiger will take over Village Underground on November 8th in collaboration with Eastern Margins – a night celebrating the very best in new South East Asian talent. A supporting cast of artists of this heritage will be announced soon. Village Underground will also host Sub Pop acts CHAI and ill peach on November 10th and  former National Youth Poet Laureate KaraJackson (plus special guests) leading a new show at KingsPlace on November 11th, following a standout performance on Later… With Jools later this week, with further guests in support. 

Additionally, an exciting Pitchfork-celebrated talent RachikaNayar joins RyojiIkeda’s bill on Wednesday 8th November at TheBarbican. On the Saturday night, new 4AD signing Anjimile and Godcaster are added to the Dalston multi-venue take-over, and club-pop breakout George Riley completes the six act bill at the Roundhouse with Yaeji

Elsewhere, 6Music favourites SNÕÕPER join Sleater-Kinney, US Girls and M(h)aol at The Roundhouse on the Friday 10th, and finally an extremely exciting supporting cast of Japanese folk sensation IchikoAoba and US indie-folk act Vagabon join WeyesBlood on the closing night. 

This year’s Pitchfork London event promises to be the best yet, with an extended edition running across seven nights and featuring a stellar line-up, including the previously announced:

Pitchfork Music Festival London 2023 will feature unmissable weekday special events and larger multi-festival bills over the weekend. The festival includes the UK live debut of ultratronics [live set] at The Barbican – a unique concert created by the renowned visual and sound artist Ryoji Ikeda – based on his 2022 album, Ultratronics. Thursday sees multi-bills of Pitchfork-celebrated artists including New York pysch-pop band Crumb, 4AD-signed Helado Negro, electro-pop band Porches, and a hugely exciting rap-bill featuring four rising US acts – Mavi, Mike, Fly Anakin and Mckinley Dixon

The Roundhouse will host indie-rock icons Sleater-Kinney alongside U.S. Girls and M(h)aol, plus a special live debut of Radiohead’s Johnny Greenwood with Israeli rock musician Dudu Tassa at Hackney Church. Alabaster Deplume promises to bring the ultimate evolution of his collaborative, creative project in a unique show which promises to be “less like a gig but more of an occurrence, in the social and political sense” – joined by a cast of friends and guests. The breakthrough NYC-via-Seoul producer, DJ and vocalist Yaeji will perform following the release of her critically acclaimed debut LP With A Hammer and a huge Coachella appearance, with a hugely exciting supporting cast from George Riley, Jessy Lanza, Yunè Pinku, Debby Friday & blackwinterwells. Saturday’s multi-space / one ticket take-over of Dalston/Hackney venues include sets from London indie-starlets – Porridge Radio and Sorry (debuting a special strings performance), plus an incredible bill of rising stars including: Water From Your Eyes, Wednesday and many more. YouthLagoon return to the UK for the first time in 10 years with support from hotly tipped US bedroom-pop acts Barrie and Lutalo, with an extra special closing night at Eventim Apollo with the award-winning WeyesBlood and IchikoAoba.
