Squid Announce Instore / Outstore Record Shop Tour
With genre-bending new single “Undergrowth” and video game still hot off the press, alt-rock experimentalists Squid have announced a series of intimate shows partnering with record shops around the UK. Starting on 10th June, the day following the release of their sophomore album O Monolith (9th June). Tickets available 11am on Thursday 27th April. HERE
Performing songs from O Monolith at the record stores or at beloved local venues, there will be an exclusive cassette version of O Monolith available at the record stores on this run. Indie record stores will also have a very limited number of exclusive posters and stickers.
Expansive, evocative and hugely varied, O Monolith retains Squid’s restless, enigmatic spirit. It’s a reflection of the outsized progression of a band always looking to the future. “We’re quite a musically stubborn band, and in an endearing way it’s a stubborn record,” says singer Ollie Judge. Like its namesake, O Monolith is vast and strange; alive with endless possible interpretations of its inner mysteries.
