New album Garden Party is out April 21st

Rose City Band touring the UK and Europe this spring and summer

Ahead of the release of resplendent new album Garden Party, out later this week, April 21st, Rose City Band share expansive new single “Mariposa”.

The track’s opening delivers a late 1970’s ballad vibe that is irresistible with its electric piano melodies, intimate vocals and flute highlights. The expansive song kicks off when guitarist/vocalist Ripley Johnson’s freewheeling melodic guitar lines take the lead propelled by gentle strums and shimmering organs.

The song was written to play live. Says Johnson, “It’s just really fun to improvise over.” That joy is evident in the single’s expansive guitar lines and shifting pace, a thrilling journey that one can easily imagine only getting deeper in the room with each musician drawing upon each other’s energy.

The soulful and sublime new single will move you, alter your vision and set you on a higher path. The intoxicating atmosphere absolutely consumes the audience, the mood elevated, and intricate and the energy simply dazzles. This new album is set for greatness, a record designed and destined to be one that embraces this timeless nature. Each track shared from the upcoming release captures the sincere magic of Rose City Band. The ability to create these consuming and complex compositions, oozing character, charm, and this precise affectionate air.
