Bedroom High Club Announce Debut EP “Below The Belt”

& Share New Single “What You Did”

Barnsley indie wildcards Bedroom High Club (FFO The Strokes, Circa Waves, Two Door Cinema Club) share scintillating new cut ‘What You Did’, which is out now, the second reveal from the band’s upcoming debut EP ‘Above The Belt’ arriving this summer via Ampersounds

Comprising four mates who’ve known each other for years, Bedroom High Club’s tale so far has been one of grassroots gigging and doing things the old-school way. Building momentum via a series of incendiary early live shows at Sheffield’s iconic Leadmill, a few early support slots led to a game-changing set at Tramlines festival; having grown up in a town that offered them few prospects – least of all a natural route to being a working musician.

Channeling their love of The Strokes and Julian Casablancas’ throaty-vocaled scream into a set of songs that truly represents where they are now, the band’s forthcoming EP lays down a firm marker ahead of their April headline UK tour, closely followed by their debut appearance at Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival.

The follow-up to hard edged lead single ‘Courtesy’, which won early acclaim from the likes of The Independent, enigmatic frontman Blue Brownlie explained: “‘What You Did’ is a track for when you’re proper fed up and ready to pack it all in”, offering a further enticing glimpse of what lies within their EP.

There is a really vivid energy that Bedroom High Club capture and exudes into their creation. The latest ensemble is a wild, raw ride. Equal parts addictive as it is raucous, the lyrics are personal whilst the attitude hooks the audience. The exploration travels through scratchy passages and intense peaks, meandering through the various textures, effects, and shifting power. All whilst hooked on the gravelly and commanding vocal harmonies throughout.

Bedroom High Club has this high-octane commitment to its craft, this outfit is ready to impress and rightfully grow its immense fan-base.

Bedroom High Club’s ‘What You Did’ is out now via Ampersounds and available on all digital platforms.
