Share new track The Ghost (W. H. Lung Fluxed Version)
Tour dates announced

Anna B Savage is sharing a rework of her recent single “The Ghost” by W. H. Lung. The track is out now via City Slang and Savage has announced she will play a headline London show at Village Underground on March 28th 2023.

Speaking about the remix, Savage said ““I saw W.H. Lung at SXSW and promptly fell in love with them, and then had the immense joy of striking up friendship with them too. It was such a joy to give over this song to them, and be handed back something that’s cooler than I will ever be. When I first heard it, I stalked around the park listening to it on repeat. It reminds me of driving down country lanes in the middle of the night listening to Swans or Liars, giddy with the feeling of frightening myself on purpose. Tom’s done an immense job of crafting something wholly new with it’s own personality, and I love Joe’s new vocals which weave in and out of mine (so much so I had to ask if it was me or not). I am immensely chuffed.”

2 enigmatic forces collide. W.H Lung adds this emphasis on the stirring current whilst keeping the intricacies of Anna’s tender vision. The new version exudes a dynamic shift with the energy, boosting the creation with additional tweaks, textures, intense percussion, and infectious rhythms.

Savage’s self released debut EP caught the attention of Father John Misty and Jenny Hval, both of whom took Savage across Europe on tour. This was followed by the release of Savage’s debut album ‘A Common Turn’, which came out in early 2021 on City Slang and received wide critical acclaim.

‘A Common Turn’ was deeply vulnerable but without submission. Savage laid claim to her own fragility, and the stories she told were of taking up space, finding connections, and owning the power in not knowing all the answers. The record was featured in many ‘Albums of the Year’ lists including those by Loud and Quiet and BBC Radio 6 Music. Savage then released her EP ‘These Dreams’, which featured three tracks from the same sessions as ‘A Common Turn’. Since then Savage has toured across the UK and Europe including a sold out show at Kings Place, London as well as performances at SXSW and Roskilde. “The Ghost” is the first new music since then and is the first glimpse of what is to come from the London-born singer songwriter in the coming months.
