Alice Boman Shares New Single “Where To Put The Pain”

Taken From New Album Out Next Month & Announces Lykke Li Tour

Swedish songwriter Alice Boman has released new single, “Where To Put The Pain“, a song about dealing with difficult emotions and different types of pain.

“This song is about dealing with difficult emotions and worries and different kinds of pain”,
Boman explains. “In a world where a lot of things are feeling hopeless and bad things are happening it sometimes gets a bit overwhelming. Sometimes to the point of feeling numb. How do you find a balance in that?”

The single follows previous tracks “Maybe”, “Night and Day” and Perfume Genius collaboration “Feels Like A Dream”, which Fader called “languid and hauntingly romantic”.

Boman’s forthcoming new LP The Space Between is due 21st October via Play It Again Sam (preorder here).

The hypnotic cadence from the drum shuffles entwined with the jaunty notes that resonate with such clarity and conviction into the immersive atmosphere. As the instrumentation develops, Alice’s ethereal vocal harmonies command your full attention. As the harmonies glide through the soundscape with this unique ease and beauty, the lyrics come to life as the listener engages with the journey of the ensemble. A truly intimate creation with this lyrical fragility that feeds into the world of any listener, an in-depth and moving arrangement that will alter the audiences’ mood, and challenge them to embrace the harrowing sensation of this release whilst the comfort from the tonality provides this profound connection with the landscape. Alice Boman releases another mesmeric and meaningful composition.

Imbued with an enveloping warmth which radiates from Boman’s gossamer-light vocals, The Space Between ruminates on intimacy and existential angst, her quiet contemplations cocooned in sympathetic arrangements created in collaboration with producer Patrik Berger (Robyn, Lana Del Rey).

Alice Boman has also been invited to support Lykke Li on UK/EU dates this October, including London’s Barbican. She’ll also return to the UK this December for her own headline tour. Tickets are on-sale now HERE.
