AhGeeBe Returns With New Single “Out On The Run” Out September 8th via Clwb Music

Welsh born singer-songwriter AhGeeBe has today announced his return with his latest single Out On The Run released on Thursday 8th September via Clwb Music.

Out On The Run basks in swooning, lap-steel infused calmness, cleverly contrasted by soaring guitars and ascending brass section.

AhGeeBe explains; “The song was written a few years ago during a particularly gruelling year touring across America and Europe. I was home for a week or so and went for a long walk up the Garth Mountain [near my home village] to clear my head. I made a bunch of mumbling voice notes with this melody and some vague lyrics which eventually became this song.”.

The return welcomes the blissful landscape that AhGeeBe has carefully created. A landscape filled with tender touches, fragility, and above all this immersive and sincere warmth and connection. The new single will hook the audience with the punchy textures, Americana rich influence, and shimmering sliding notes. Whilst the instrumentation captures this wild essence, the harmonies carry this character and eccentricity that helps solidify this timeless ensemble.

With support for his singles, Cocoona and Adain Ystlum (Batwing), from Huw Stephens, Adam Walton, and Bethan Elfyn across BBC Radio Wales, Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, and the team at BBC Radio Cymru, Out On The Run sees AhGeeBe poised to scoop even more praise from press and a slew of new fans.

“I guess it’s a classic old time sort of song about that feeling of being pulled back home and to the people you love, and how hard it is being away” AhGeeBe continues. “You question whether you’re in the right place, trying to get a perspective on what it actually is you want out of life”.

AhGeeBe describes Out On The Run as “Quite a personal love song, but also a love song for anyone that might feel a bit lost, low or directionless, but can hopefully be uplifting”.
