Live, Do Nothing Release New Single “Oso Jugoso”
Out Now via Specialist Subject
Cardiff-based indie pop collective Live, Do Nothing (ex-members of Rosehip Teahouse, Deadlines) have today, March 9th, released their new single “Oso Jugoso”. Their first single to be released through Bristol record label Specialist Subject.
The single is described as being inspired by classic Studio Ghibli film My Neighbour Totoro and its lyrics explore feeling disconnected from your childhood self and figuring out whether you should try to re-discover it or eschew the trappings of nostalgia and live for your current reality.
The horns proudly initiate the expressive structure to sashay to the forefront of the journey and make way for this feel-good melody to dazzle amongst the immense soundscape. Live, Do Nothing have created something that will light up their listeners’ world. It’s refreshing to hear a track that oozes creativity, fun, and this compelling yet distinct, unique characteristic.
A bold outlook with lashes of positivity and elevation, confirming that this is a large outfit on every level, producing a must-hear song that will alter your mood and leave a lasting influence. This unpredictable voyage embarks and meanders through softer, calming passages to sudden brooding peaks to more abrupt and chaotic strides. An array of vivacious tones and melodies join to add crucial layers upon layers, these tweaks and tones assist with the overall infectious atmosphere. The collaborative vocal harmonies collide together and showcase this bright harmonic range from all angles.
Live, Do Nothing release this single which simply crackles with this mighty warmth; a track built on this pure pop foundation, buoyant beats, and above all this demanding, dynamic energy that rules all. That immersive energy is rooted in the exploration from start to finish and the capricious production highlights the forcible power. An outfit that will inspire as they shapeshift through this sonically alluring landscape.
The track was recorded by Thomas V. Westgård at Sail Loft Studios, mixed by Bob Cooper at Chairworks Studios and mastered by Leon West at After Life Studios.
Oso Jugoso is out now and available digitally on all streaming services as well as a limited edition cassette with exclusive extra track Too Late In The Day available on Bandcamp.
