LibraLibra Release New Single & Video “Here’s To You Mr Robinson”

Announce Sophomore EP “MODERN MILLENIAL”

LibraLibra returns with details of their forthcoming sophomore EP “MODERN MILLENIAL“. With the news of their ambitious record, the quartet share a new single “Here’s To You Mr Robinson“, accompanied with a must-see video, and live dates later this month. The new record is due 25th March 2022.

Here’s To You Mr Robinson” will captivate you to your core, but the influence which crafted this new track will stir your emotions more.

Of the track: In 2019 the controversial figure Tommy Robinson received a milkshake to the face, an incidentwhich shone a ray of light in the dark and gloomy post-Brexit landscape of anti immigration
sentiments, rampant racism, sexual misconduct and civil unrest. With a news cycle that seems to spin exponentially faster each day, social and political commentary in pop music can be a dangerous game. Unfortunately, the three unprecedented years since the conception of LibraLibra’s ‘Here’s To You Mr. Robinson’ has shown that the song continues to become more relevant with each passing da
y.

Speaking of the new single, Beth Cannon shares, ‘This song is unapologetically a protest / diss track to the U.K. government. F*** the Tories & F*** Tommy Robinson, F U Farage! It comes with no surprise that the track was initially sketched out after an absolute legend lamped Tommy Robinson with a milkshake then someone launching one at Nigel Farage. Two total scumbags of the earth, it hasn’t stopped them infecting society but I live for small blessings. The utter hypocrisy of Brexit and Ex- Pats becoming immigrants, Tommy Robinson seeking asylum… you really couldn’t make this up! It feels that since June 2016 we entered Hell… Brexit / followed by Trump and we’ve been stuck in this Tory Purgatory… it feels that no matter how outrageous, twisted or evil they are, we are under their power. ‘The Day to Day’ , ‘Brasseye’ ‘The Thick of It’ werent just Tv shows but were actual windows into the future which is now. We are living in a dark comedy turn reality. All the times I was in my twenties, strung out, high as kite watching these shows – who knew Chris Morris was a real life mystic?  Maybe I’m still tripping?

That’s why this track feels fitting to kick start our ‘Modern Millennial’ EP – it encompasses the confusions, fear, grief and realisation that this is it. You wake up in adulthood and it’s Hell, welcome. ‘

LibraLibra brings (most of) the nations’ thoughts to the forefront of their fierce and damning creation. Amongst the currents of obscure rhythms and this bold disco beat, through the layers of ardent textures, Beth’s raw vocal harmonies obliterate the audience’s senses. Offering this dynamic melodic course and showcasing this defiant energy within the journey. Lyrically, this aggression is felt as well. An expressive yet enthralling composition that leaves this mighty influence. LibraLibra targets the hostile world and delivers the anger amongst this danceable, ferocious affair, caught up in countless hooks and this punk-style demeanor.

In fact, the almighty infectious attitude of LibraLibra has been captured with this air of ease and charm throughout their new release. Raucous, rowdy, and so real. LibraLibra challenges the world they live in and reflects the realization into the most essential ensembles.
