Grawl!x Return With New Single “Hopelessness”

Out via Reckless Yes

Grawl!x has announced their first new music since 2020 album ‘PEEPS’ with the digital release of single ‘Hopelessness’. The track comes ahead of new EP, ‘Spring’ and picks up on their signature orchestrated electro-dreampop sound.

At odds with the title ‘Hopelessness’ bursts with uplifting melody, rich layers sitting in perfect complement both with each other and the distinctive honesty of the story shared. It is also the first release with a newly expanded line-up with Jo Lewis (Umbilica), Shelley Jane Newman (GodNo!), Rich Collins, and Robin Newman joining Maria Michael Machin.

Of the track the band said, “We’re super excited to announce that Grawl!x is making music again, with a bonza lineup! ‘Hopelessness’ was written during lockdown and we tried to write a big ol’ banger about the importance of hope and talking to someone when things get too much.

We are so thrilled for the return of Grawl!x, the music that Grawl!x creates elevates their audience, immerses their listeners, and transports them into the heart of their creations. There is something so meaningful, so sincere, captured within this latest release.

With their phenomenal new track, emotion carries the journey from start to finish, the lyrics are simply enriched with the emotional values of this raw composition. The words that move this composition add this striking influence as it mirrors such volatile thoughts, yet the tender lyrics are delivered with the most uplifting intricacies of the sweeping melody and moving intensity of the instrumentation.

The expressive tones and powerful rhythms mask the pain of the words and carry the honesty with this big structure, the explosive crescendos, rolling drum rhythms, and vast compelling textures all captivate the audience. Grawl!x effortlessly creates this huge atmosphere filled with melodic escalation and gripping affection, unafraid to lace such deep, personal themes amongst lashes of powerpop.

‘Hopelessness’ leads into EP ‘Spring’, due for release in spring 2022. More details to follow.
