Matilda Mann Shares New Single “Four Leaf Dream”

Touring UK This March/April

Matilda Mann shares a new single ‘Four Leaf Dream’ today, her first new music since the release of her Sonder EP in September 2021.

The new track comes ahead of her first UK headline tour, which kicks off in late March and sees her play dates in Brighton, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and a hometown headline show at London’s EartH Hackney, tickets here. Matilda will be joined on tour by Irish alt-pop artist April, as well as a special appearance from Maya Delilah at her London show.

Matilda Mann returns with this ethereal creation, rich with affection and a truly moving melodious piece. Delicate notes bring these clear lyrics to life, whilst the tones and passages assist with the complex building of this grand and deeply expressive landscape.

Matilda’s immense vocal capabilities capture this wide arrange of emotion and this compelling range is explored with such a fierce attitude throughout the new single. Matilda’s vocal harmonies soothe, serenade, and soar, this mighty range that has such a lasting touch

‘Four Leaf Dream’ was produced by Rich Cooper (Rina Sawayama, Josef Salvat, Billie Marten), and sees Matilda contemplate the perils of putting friends and lovers on a pedestal. In her words, “‘Four Leaf Dream’ is about letting go of the idea of someone. Sometimes we mould people and relationships to fit this idea we created in our heads – that they’re perfect, that this is definitely right. Sometimes it stops you from seeing what they’re actually like, and that it’s best to let them go. I wrote this a few months ago with Rich Cooper’s in his studio, as well as Half Rhymes. It was one of those songs that just so effortlessly came together.”

Late last year, Matilda played her first headline show to a sold-out crowd at London’s Lafayette, toured nationally with Dodie and supported Holly Humberstone. Her Sonder EP included singles like ‘Doomsday’, ‘Glass Ceiling’ and ‘Bloom’, which picked up support from the likes of Colors, DIY, Notion, Clash and Dork. Matilda has been championed by the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, KCRW and NPR, and has also supported the likes of Arlo Parks, Beabadoobee, and The Staves. In 2020 she was named runner-up at Glastonbury Festival’s prestigious Emerging Talent Competition
