SUN JUNE

Share video for new single ‘Reminded’

Somewhere (Expanded) out now
Via Run For Cover and Keeled Scales

Austin, TX’s Sun June have shared a video for their new single “Reminded,” from the expanded version of their acclaimed record, Somewhere, out now via Run For Cover and Keeled Scales.

“‘Reminded’ is about being captivated by someone you have a bad history with and wanting to reconcile with past mistakes, despite it being the most unhealthy decision. It’s about gazing narrowly into an old flame… Basically, it’s the sexiest song we’ve ever written,” says Laura Colwell.

“The song leans so far into romance that we thought it would be fun to add some sax. Justin got to arrange it all, and then we had local saxophonist David Alvarez (from Medellin Collection, and Hyah!) lay it down.”

Sun June creates these magical ensembles filled with this true beauty, as is the case with “Reminded”. A striking journey that consumes the audience with the raw lyrics and dynamic vocal range, the instrumentation meanders through this immersive course, gaining intensity, building upon its foundation. Clear and mighty drum shuffles and intricate notes form the developing passages.

The atmosphere grows and gains such power as the exploration continues, effortlessly maintaining this beautiful landscape, leading up to the cathartic crescendo, more instrumental elements unite to create the most hypnotizing finale. Sun June have their audience hooked to every little detail, they create this world that provides comfort and charm.
