Ellis Announces nothing is sacred anymore EP

Shares “Hospital”

EP out June 25th

In late 2018, Ellis released her debut EP, The Fuzza shot in the dark from the Hamilton, Ontario based project led by Linnea Siggelkow, that from the release of her very first single began attracting international attention, and earned her comparisons to Mazzy StarAlvvays and Slowdive from outlets like PitchforkVICE and Stereogum, who marked her out as one of “a new generation of exciting songwriters.” A year of international touring with artists like Mannequin Pussy and SASAMI followed leading into the release of her debut LP Born Again on April 3rd of 2020, expanding her already growing cult with an album The FADER called an expression “of immense emotional vulnerability,” and Line of Best Fit described as “a fantastically delivered meld of indie, folk and emo.”

Now, Ellis is making her return to announce a new EP entitled nothing is sacred anymore, and share her first single since her debut album, a track entitled “Hospital.”

If this is your first official introduction to ellis, prepared to be mesmerized. Soft, dreamy yet delicate vocals ooze such emotion and charm as they deliver this tender lyrical journey through this compelling ethereal instrumentation. It’s a short exploration but it packs in so much heartfelt affection you feel the immersive strides this release emits. ellis allows this intimate insight to harness the truthful appeal within their words, the arrangement feels intimate and personal and the fact this is being shared ultimately alludes to this fearless nature. What a striking effort.

Ellis’ nothing is sacred anymore EP is due out June 25th. It is available for preorder here
