CARTER TANTON SHARES NEW SONG

UNEVEN HIGH PLACES

SELF-TITLED ALBUM OUT 7th MAY 2021

ON WESTERN VINYL, PRE-ORDER NOW

Singer-songwriter Carter Tanton shares the song “Uneven High Places” from his self-titled album due out on 7th May 2021.  Of the song—a spartan production featuring piano and captivating vocals—Tanton says, “‘Uneven High Places’ was the first song I made for this record. It was written and recorded in under an hour, which set a template for the rest of the songs – quickly captured, intuitive and of the moment. I wanted to stay close as possible to the formation of the piece, snapping the picture just as it crosses over from idea to song. The lyrics serve that spirit too, speaking to the need of remaining in the moment and releasing the past in order to find lines of harmony within the present.”

Uneven High Places” follows the politically charged single “Steep Angles” released earlier this year.  Carter Tanton’s self-titled album is available for pre-order here.

This raw release is destined to move you, the tender tone and the fragile lyrics resonate such compelling honest truths and capture that emotion within each note. Carter Tanton delivers such emotionally charged honest compositions. Lyrically pulling your attention before the tender vocal harmony glides above the warm atmosphere and you embrace the sublime ensemble created.

“Uneven High Places” encapsulates this personal charm and emits such a powerful sentiment, you absorb every single word. It’s a truly heartbreaking arrangement recognizing this melancholic path that pierces through the harrowing and intense atmosphere.
