Beach Bunny are excited to release a new version of their hit single “Cloud 9” featuring Tegan and Sara. The Platinum-selling iconic duo joins the Chicago-based band for a punchy spin on the airy swooning anthem, with updated lyrics to include gender neutral and feminine pronouns.

Tegan and Sara say,

“We’re massive fans of Beach Bunny, and when we heard ‘Cloud 9’ for the first time fell in love with the brilliant lyrics and addictive melody. We love that Lili was up to let us experiment with changing the pronoun in the chorus to she. The efforts made to make the song relatable to everyone, isn’t just about inclusivity, we think it’s a great indication of the flexibility and creative spirit of the band at its core!”

This month, “Cloud 9” from Beach Bunny’s 2020 debut LP Honeymoon has re-emerged, spending 5 consecutive weeks on the Spotify Global Viral 50 chart earning more than 2 million streams per day and capturing new peaks on a near daily basis with over 78 MILLION total streams and more than 1.3 MILLION creations on TikTok. Within the last week alone, the song reached #86 on the Global Top 200 and #7 on the Global Viral 50 Spotify charts.

An impressive collaboration bringing in an entirely refreshing energy within this creation.

Earlier this year, Beach Bunny released the four track EP Blame Game, and they recently announced a European and UK tour for February 2022.
