Bad Waitress Share “Pre Post-Period Blues”

Out Now on Royal Mountain Records

Toronto’s Bad Waitress are sharing their ripping new song “Pre Post-Period Blues“, their first new material since last year’s “That Sedative”. Having played shows with artists like Fucked UpL7Rise Against and The Bronx, and making appearances at The FestBasilica Soundscapes, NXNE, Hollow Fest, Crystal Lake, Pouzza Fest and more, the band is back with the dizzying track, described by vocalist Kali-Ann Butala (she/her) as a “bloody, mucky, kaleidoscopic come down”.

Bad Waitress will take you on a powerful ride. This explosive new single blends the dynamic and darting instrumentation with the most harmonious and infectious vocal delivery. Bad Waitress capture this intense angst to their creations, fierce and angular guitar elements whirl into this mighty soundscape and collide against the brash drum beats and immense tempo. The attitude that emits from the lyrics demand your full attention, in fact, you abide, you listen to each word and take in the meaning of this raw release. Mixing this standout punk attitude and cascading that assailing essence through the alluring melody of this composition, Bad Waitress set themselves apart and create a far-reaching arrangement.

Guitarist Katelyn Molgard (they/them) explains, “It’s like this: you got yer friggin hormones, your cramps, you forgot to eat, but you need to take Advil, then yer like, “bitch, now my stomach hurts!” and then you get so mad yer like “WHYYYYY?!?”So you slam back a few and then you’re way more drunk than you’d normally be so like, you say some shit to someone and then now yer yelling and THEN some dude’s like “are you on your period?” And so then you turn into a werewolf and eat everyone. Ya know?
