Rosehip Teahouse Share Video For ‘No Gloom’ – Out Now via Big Indie Records

Bedroom-pop specialists Rosehip Teahouse share video for EP offering ‘No Gloom’, out now via Big Indie Records (Childcare, Eliza Shaddad, Weird Milk) & announce their appearance at 2021’s virtual SXSW event.
Spawning several acclaimed singles including enthralling lead track ‘I Meant What I Said’ and sprawling follow-up ‘A Million Times’, the Welsh newcomers’ ‘Fine’ EP (released last month) has already earned widespread approval with their delicate collection of dreamy soundbites spotlighting creative mastermind Faye Rogers’ vivid songwriting capabilities to sublime effect.
Breaking out from a bustling Cardiff scene that’s already produced fellow indie risers Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, the band’s biographical, heartfelt approach to their material has certainly resonated amongst key industry gatekeepers (Beats Per Minute, Clash, Dork, DIY, Gigwise, Loud & Quiet, So Young, The Line Of Best Fit) and found fans across the BBC Radio 1 airwaves (Huw Stephens), and with further releases lined up for 2021, momentum is sure to intensify.
Detailing their new video, drummer Will Dickens explained: “‘We had loads of ideas going into filming this video, lots of places we wanted to shoot and things we wanted to try and experiment with. But as soon as we got into the hall and Joe showed some of the footage played back, we realised that’s all we needed. The lighting was too good and Faye’s dog Chucky was enjoying himself so much. It was one of those times where you realise you’re better off not over complicating things and just running with the simplest idea till you can’t squeeze anything else out of it. And we’re really happy with the result”.

No Gloom” is a stunning creation from this powerful act, the moment the single plays you embrace the superb energy of this immersive arrangement. This enriched guitar tone strikes these solid notes and the sound portrayed dazzles as the guitar is drenched with this contagious chorus. These shimmering tones add to this infectious vibe. Whilst the lyrics channel familiarity and glimpses of hope, captured through the delicate vocals. The band captures this vibrance to their projection and delivers this complex track which conveys its own element of fun!

Produced by Thomas Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard) and mixed by Eddie Al-Shakarchi (Boy Azooga), Rosehip Teahouse’s ‘No Gloom’ is out now via Big Indie Records and available on all digital platforms.
