Pom Poko announce news of special ‘Talk Show’ event two days prior to the release of upcoming LP “Cheater” out 15th January via Bella Union
With their new album Cheater due for release 15th January via Bella Union, but sadly all their planned European release shows unable to take place, Pom Poko have devised their own special talk show to run two days prior to release as a sort of replacement to the dates. A kind of talk show where Conan O’Brien/Letterman/Oprah meets The Muppet Show. Within Pom Poko’s immersive and colourful domain you will experience a preposterous talk show where the band themselves are the guests, including unique live performances of music from the forthcoming ‘Cheater’ album. You will also encounter some characters you might recognise from the world of Pom Poko if you partook in/attended the fabled Rockefeller concert or on the Øyafestivalen in 2019. Giving away any more details would almost be revealing too much, but imagining that this creative bunch of individuals, who are regularly pointed out as being one of Norway’s best live bands, are capable of putting together something extraordinary and utterly different shouldn’t be very hard.
The date of the stream is 13th January with the show lasting for around half an hour. And all for the bargain price of 2 USD which will go entirely to cover the costs and with the show available for viewing for two weeks. Tickets and info for the event can be found HERE or via Facebook. Ticket buyers with be given a link to the exclusive pre-sale for the European tour later this year, the dates of which will be announced next week.
