Hassle Records (Brutus, Petrol Girls, The Used etc) will be re-issuing the self-titled debut EP from Portuguese, London-based pysch rock trio, Madmess on 9th April 2021.

Hassle stated, “We’re delighted to be re-issuing the debut EP by the rather excellent Madmess from Portugal. Their music is a perfect mix of trippy pysch and stoner. Right up our street! ”.

The EP is available now digitally and Hassle will be repressing the sold out vinyl. Pre-order link HERE

Madmess, from Porto, Portugal got together in 2016 when the three friends decided to develop new soundscapes incorporating 60s and 70s psychedelic progressive rock with a more modern 90’s/00’s stoner vibe. The band moved to the UK in September 2017, where they played a number of shows and recorded their debut EP at Skyhammer Studio in Wales.

The band commented, “We really appreciate what Hassle has been doing for the music scene in the past 15 years and we’re thrilled to be working with them.”

Madmess will ignite your senses, it’s deep dark and devious. Hard hitting riffs and biting intensity.

Mainly influenced by 60’s psychedelia and 70s prog, Madmess’ repertoire is a dense haze of psychedelic sounds full of lightning and heavy thunderclaps. Unleashing a magic fog into the room they take their audience on a journey from the edge of rugged deserts to the outer edges of distant galaxies.

Madmess will be releasing their debut album this year, later in 2021.

Madmess are:
Sam Paio (Guitar/ Vocals)
Vasco Vasconcelos (Bass)
Luis Moura (Drums/ Vocals)
