TV PRIEST RELEASE NEW TRACK “SLIDESHOW”

Debut album “Uppers” out November 13th on Hand In Hive

London’s TV Priest arrived, wet behind the ears, in the Spring of 2020 with a widescreen debut single, “House Of York”, immediately picking up international press attention and seeing support from BBC 6 Music, including multiple plays from Steve Lamacq and the mercurial Dan Carey on his Recommends show.

Their second single, “Runner Up“, and then a third in “This Island”, followed soon after and saw the band go straight onto the 6 Music playlist.

Last month they announced their debut album “Uppers” (out November 13th on Hand In Hive) and were confident enough in the rest of their songs to leave their first two singles off the tracklisting. The buzz was significant, with the first run of limited vinyl through Recordstore selling out in just over 24 hours.

All of this for a band who have played only the one show, ever.

Now the band have shared their latest single “Slideshow“, listen in full below:

TV Priest have unveiled a few tracks from their forthcoming album which is solidifying our thoughts that their new album is destined to be one of the greatest records of 2020. Now, with their latest single to be unveiled “Slideshow“, our excitement intensifies.

TV Priest utilize their scratchy angular guitar tones, their full-bodied enigmatic, and encompassing arrangements with their brooding and brash vocals, and all of these skills thrown together in their fierce manner and this just mesmerizes their audience. Once again this infectious ability is projected in “Slideshow”, the entire composition is a crushing feat from the band. This track is a gritty and absolutely necessary release of our time. It’s a sudden exploration into their melodic tendencies, the harsh rhythms feels as if TV Priest are rebuilding fragments of the instrumentation they shattered at the first note. Manic moments, pitched notes, hard harmonics, and an honest lyrical journey which obliterates the senses- once again TV Priest have created something so mad that it leaves you in awe.
