Share new single + video for ‘Blushing’
Dir. by The Valdez
New album Pleasure Line due 7th August via Winspear
New Orleans’ Video Age share the final single off of their forthcoming third album, Pleasure Line, due 7th August via Winspear. “Blushing” is an ‘80s-inspired, romantic track with an accompanying video directed by Molly Valdez & Judson Valdez (The Valdez).
Video Age on the track, “Blushing is a song about deep, passionate love that lasts forever.”
The Valdez say of the video,“Our concept for the Blushing music video follows one person through their hazy night out, searching for the feeling of romance. They carry a bouquet of roses with them all night while they sit at the bar, drink, write little notes on napkins (the song lyrics) and dance, waiting for the moment of the night to happen. By the end of the night, they’ve found what they were looking for. We filmed the video through the course of one day using several old 90s handycams, writing the song lyrics on hundreds of napkins, and destroying multiple bouquets of roses.”
An eccentric new track, synth-driven with it’s dedicated disco beat electronic drum beat keeping the momentum. Luscious vocals ooze charm and emotion. Another hit from this powerful act.
“Blushing” follows the previously-released funk-inspired track “Shadow On The Wall,” which Gorillaz added to their G-Mix playlist and Pitchfork included on their Pitchfork Selects list, the album title track “Pleasure Line,” which Paste called “a bright love song with a bouncing rhythm in line with the group’s usual funk-infused, retro sound,” as well as the latest song and video for “Aerostar,” an upbeat groove inspired by and starring the band’s own beloved van.
