Shares New Single: ‘Make It Through’
Out via Memphis Industries
Barbarossa a.k.a. British singer-songwriter and producer, James Mathé, today shares his new single “Make It Through” via Memphis Industries. The pulsating and emotive new single follows on from his recent release “Always Free”.
Recorded with electronic producer Ghost Culture in their hometown of Margate, “Make It Through” tackles the process of overcoming the hurdles life throws at you, as Mathé explains:
“‘Make It Through’ is about dealing with failures or challenges you are confronted with in life. When you are feeling overwhelmed at the challenges life has dealt you but somehow the support system around you – whoever or whatever that may be – give you the courage to persevere. Sometimes you even find another gear or inner strength you didn’t know you had to overcome.“
Layers of rich lustrous textures charm their way through this delicate banger. A hypnotic riff takes ownership and the illustrious vocal range captivates and lifts this more-ish arrangement before the rhythmic and climatic feel-good finale.
Mathé has been releasing music under the moniker Barbarossa since 2006 having been signed to legendary Scottish imprint the Fence Collective for the albums “Sea of Blood” and “Chemical Campfires” and latterly to Memphis Industries for “Bloodlines”, “Imager” and “Lier”. His music has been used to soundtrack a whole host of TV shows including How I Met Your Mother, Suits and Elementary.
