Teddy Hunter Releases New Track “Games”

We were first introduced to the talents of Teddy Hunter, through Circuit Sweet artist and mutual electronic visionary- Simon Gore. Simon raved about the efforts of Teddy and insisted we check the artist out- we were not disappointed! Teddy has been featured on the site previously, with her collaboration as a visual artist for Nevsky Perspective‘s live shows, as well as listed as an artist to watch for 2020 during our annual Rad Releases feature.

Teddy Hunter is a Cardiff-based audio-visual artist working in electronic music and soundscapes. Though playing in a diverse, genre-busting range of rising Welsh acts (HMS Morris, Smudges, Rosehip Teahouse, Shoebox Orchestra), Hunter’s solo music takes its root in sonic arts, the environment and gentle, immersive ambiance.

2020 has seen Teddy grow as a prolific artist in various avenues- just a few weeks ago Teddy joined the expansive Bubblewrap CollectiveBubblewrap Collective are now the platform in which Teddy’s new single has been released on.

Now, the next milestone is the debut single which has been unveiled today. Listen to “Games” streaming below-

Games weave through intricate electronic soundscapes providing a sonic romanticism. Those eclectic notes rhythmically move the track but its’ Teddy’s reflective lyrics and tenuous vocal range that brings an ethereal and emotive atmosphere. Distinctively shimmering and complex, the rhythmic synths and structures allude to a truly beautiful energy from an immersive sound artist. Teddy Hunter crafts deeply atmospheric landscapes which is undeniably thought-provoking.

Teddy’s debut single, Games, was recorded at Rat Trap Studios, Cardiff, Mixed and Mastered by Marcus Jenkins and artwork is by George Myers.
