Experimental genius TAYNE (musician and sound artist Matthew Sutton) has dropped a new EP ‘Wet Markets’.

The new record has been created during the current lockdown and by using a Tattoo machine, an Earthquaker devices “Arpanoid”, a Roland TR8 drum machine and Vocals.

Since the beginning of March many have been out of work due to the Covid 19 pandemic.Matt along with many other self employed people have found himself in this position. Matt has been tattoo artist for the past 9 years, and is based out the legendary, Evil from the Needle in Camden, London.

Committed to staying productive during these times, the Wet Markets Ep has surfaced. The concept was to use his daily work tools (tattoo machines) and try to still create work with them. With the use of contact mics, loops stations, drum machines and various effects pedals 5 tracks where created with the intention on writing / recording & releasing a song a day between March 16th-20th.

After releasing the concept idea tracks they then revisited, reworked and reproduced to create more polished sounds and ideas.

The 5 track EP captures Tayne‘s ability to construct, create and cultivate their craftsmanship with their harsh noise outlet. This artist continues to deliver fresh, new and bold instrumentations. Tayne punctuates melodies made out of negative space.  The EP imaginatively utilizes 4 devices including vocals and has boldly created an infectious mind-melting record.
