Bengal Lancers return with new single ‘I’m Still Here’

Emerging indie rock quartet Bengal Lancers return with the release of their infectious new single I’m Still Here, out now

Combining ignited guitar twangs and pulsating drums with synth-infused beats, Bengal Lancers are able to create something that feels both addictive and cathartic. The quartet weave poetic lyricism with anthemic soundscapes throughout, creating a vibe reminiscent to the likes of Frightened Rabbit or White Lies.

Talking about the single, lead singer Harry Sullivan elaborates, “I’m Still Here is about coming to terms with your place in the world and taking a step back to see how you fit into the bigger picture. It’s about seeing through the tougher times in your life and making it to the other side, celebrating everyday victories. Sometimes we struggle to see the brighter side of life and this track is a rally cry to move past that and focus on the positives.”

Bengal Lancers formed when Harry met Charlie Hawkins (bass) and Max Hutchins (drums) at the University of Leicester in 2012 and 2013, respectively. In 2016, the trio were joined by school friend Aidan Wickham (electronics), completing the line up. Since then, Bengal Lancers have gone from strength to strength, having already received praise from the likes of Radio X’s John Kennedy and BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson, as well as Louder Than War and Its All Indie to name a few.
