
My Octopus Mind Shares New Live Video “Fridge Magnet”
Earlier this week Bristol based mad musical experimentalists My Octopus Mind revealed their new live video Fridge Magnet.
Fridge Magnet recorded at the Cube Microplex. Filmed by soft geometry, mixed by Jake Bright and visuals by Luke Chambers.
Fridge Magnet is a serious comment on the hostility the UK shows to refugees, refusing to acknowledge its terrible colonial past and current role in the arms trade. Instead, the establishment throws hate at the most vulnerable victims of the UK’s prolonged reign of “terror” around the world.
The complex composition captures My Octopus Mind in their perfect environment, bouncing off one another as they showcase their diverse range of musical talents. A dark yet awakening subject matter played out through their abundance of thrash, experimental dynamic instrumentation. Haunting vocals projected across the bold backdrop.
