Plastic Estate Release New Single ‘There Must Be More Than This’

In June of last year, we first introduced you to the sounds of Cardiff based Plastic Estate. We described the band as sensational and a must-hear. Since then the band have continued to go from strength to strength, sharing stages with The Love Coffin and performing at the notorious Sŵn Festival. Their buzz is rightfully picking up and we’re sure they’ll be on some huge stages in no time at all.

Having restructured their outfit, Plastic Estate have evolved and resurfaced as a duo and the pair have unveiled their new track ‘There Must Be More Than This’. Only a few days into a new decade but this track is easily a contender for single of the year. You will be blown away.

The duo have created something you’d find scoring Stranger Things or another insanely atmospherical production. A heightened release, complex yet versatile this orchestration echoes abundance. Instantly, this composition hooks the listener, it’s incredibly catchy, bold and brash. The pair have created something industrious and enigmatic.

Plastic Estate channel a mix of New Order, White Lies, Depeche Mode and The Cure to name a few. And the resemblance may be a pull to their deliverance but it’s their own unique take on alt new-wave which engages us all to our core. There Must Be More Than This is a dramatic journey- synth waves and sonic structures soar effortlessly mixing with the harmonious vocals and illustrious lyrics.

The track, clocking in just over 5 minutes, will resonate with nostalgia and passion leaving you desperate for more. The pair have created a dramatic and ethereal projection, a true firing anthem you’ll want to hit repeat on. There Must Be More Than This is fizzing with dynamic melody and 80’s new-wave undertones, buoyant beats and an epic chorus culminating in a climactic explosion for this contagious piece.

Catch the outfit performing live this year at the following dates:

1st Feb – The Crofters Rights, Bristol – supporting M!R!M (Avant! Records)

20th Feb – Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff – supporting APRE

Plastic Estate are the act to watch. Just oozing with talent.
