HAVVK share new video for “Operate”
Formidable Irish outfit HAVVK have shared the futuristic new video for their latest single Operate, out now. Talking about the video, directed by James Byrne, front woman Julie Hawk had this to say, “cannot thank James enough for directing this and turning our kitchen into an actual goddam space ship. Huge love to our space troops Azzie McCutcheon, Maddy Paddy, and Fergus Johnson. We love you to Extenta IV and back!”
Combining elements of shoegaze, indie-rock and grunge, HAVVK are able to make their own haunting euphoria that is undeniably compelling. Julie Hawk’s distinctively impassioned vocals are at the forefront, feeling instantly reminiscent to the likes of The Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordan or The Cocteau Twins’ Elizabeth Fraser.
