PROJECTOR
Watch ‘Superstar’ HERE
Out via Roadkill Records
Formed in 2017, Brighton 3-piece PROJECTOR fuse the abrasive tendencies of Sonic Youth with the lushest alt-pop of the 90’s, inhabiting a space where the most infectious melodies sit alongside experimental musicality.
Demelza Mather’s powerful and enigmatic drumming provides the foundation for singer/bassist Lucy Sheehan and guitarist/singer Edward Ensbury to deliver intense, high quality songwriting. A blistering live show has earned them Latitude Festival Highlights, a string of packed Great Escape shows and supports with Blood Red Shoes, Deap Vally, Tigercub, The Xcerts and more.
In 2018 they were the first awardees of PRS & Festival Republic’s ‘Rebalance’ initiative, and their debut EP ‘How Does It Feel?’ was released on Roadkill Records and welcomed by DIY, Clash and Dork, praising its ‘cinematic noir’, ‘stabbing urgency’ and ‘visceral grunge-pop’, amongst others.
2019 has seen the band move into more immediate territory, with April’s ‘Go Ahead’ followed by their addictive new single ‘Superstar’.
