Ynys Releases New Video For Single “Mae’n Hawdd”

Back in July we first featured the powerful new single from YnysMae’n Hawdd’, it was released at the perfect time- the soundtrack to a blissful and exciting summer that lay ahead. Now a video has been released in support of the single, projecting the song back to the forefront of our world, where this track deserves to remain.

Ynys, is a new project by Dylan Hughes, ex Race Horses and Radio Luxembourg. The songs of Ynys combine Dylan’s melodic gift and adventurous playful song craft into a rich collection of melancholic harmonies and off-kilter psychedelic pop songs. Each track Ynys has shared including Mae N Hawdd showcases the talented efforts to showcase an entirely new light for Ynys.

‘Mae’n Hawdd’ (It’s Easy) new video is out now and we are delighted to share the video below. Video by Tomas Dafydd , Actor – Annes Elwy.

Ynys is easily one of the most exciting sounds breaking out of a rejeuvenated and confident Welsh music scene. This single was originally written about 5 years ago following a midnight coastal walk. This was the first song he had recorded for years, and it sets a cinematic backdrop of the midnight moon and mist over the rolling waves.

Featuring long time friend Mali Llywelyn on vocals, the song was recorded with a mixture of 80s sequencers, 70s string machines and melancholic harmonies.

Mae has a dreamy feel about the arrangement with its captivating and harmonious hook.

Ynys is about to embark on a UK tour this month with Bitw, catch the artist live at the following dates:

9th October – The Poetry Club, Glasgow

10th October – Bitw, Ynys & Sybs at Yes Machester

11th October – BOTW presents: Bitw, Ynys and SYBS | The Victoria London
