Following the release of his debut covers album ‘Somebody Else’s Songs’ back in May, new Indie Folk artist S. T. Manville today releases his beautiful ‘Little Victories EP’ – a collection of his original singles to date – plus new track ‘Love Is Blind’.
Manville is quickly making a name for himself as one of the most promising new singer-songwriters around – his unique breed of emotional alt-folk is encapsulated in the sparse arrangement of new single ‘Love is Blind’, his subtle vocal delivery shimmering through the gaps. About the song, Manville said: “I don’t really write love songs but I wanted to write a song for my wife that captured the feelings of when we first met but from the perspective of where we are now, 10+ years later with 2 kids. I think it’s really hard to write a sincere love song and it isn’t something that comes naturally to me but I hope I’ve done our relationship justice.”
The singles that make up the ‘Little Victories’ EP have garnered support from Radio 1 (Phil Taggart), BBC 6 Music (Tom Robinson), BBC Introducing (Dean jackson), Kerrang! Radio (Alex Baker), Flux FM, DIY Mag, i-D Magazine and Washed Up Emo amongst others. In the 4 months since his first release S. T. Manville has clocked up over 600k streams, played a successful run of tour dates all over the UK, has performed at Dot to Dot and Handmade Festival and supported Frank Turner, Jonah Matranga and Natalie Evans.
