New album Good Luck, Kid is out now on ATO Records

Ahead of their UK tour starting on 11th November, Portland’s sister trio Joseph share a performance of the title-track of their new album, “Good Luck, Kid”, shot at Nashville’s Sound Emporium.

They say of the session, “We’re excited to share this live video of us playing our song ‘Good Luck, Kid’! These sessions were a blast to record because it was the first time we played them with our band. We arrived in Nashville to Sound Emporium, met our band for the first time (with the exception of Will, our guitar player who was with us on the last album cycle) and played these songs. It was emotional to hear them come to life for the first time and it was thrilling to play!”

Good Luck, Kid is a road movie in album form, an odyssey at turns emotional, existential, and entirely literal. With their intimate storytelling and restless intensity, Natalie Schepman and her sisters Allison and Meegan Closner detail that journey in songs that careen and sprawl and often soar, ultimately spinning a narrative of life-changing transformation. European live dates are as follows:

More about Joseph:

Choosing their name in deference to their grandfather Jo, and the tiny Oregon town of Joseph where he lived, Natalie Schepman and her two twin sisters Allison and Meegan Closner, grew up in a musical household (their dad was a jazz singer and drummer, their mom a theater teacher), but didn’t sing together until just a few years ago. Joseph officially formed in 2014 when Natalie, an aspiring performer looking for a creative jolt, asked her sisters to form a band together.

They quickly discovered their gift for songwriting and vocal alchemy and began cultivating a devoted fan base playing secret house party gigs before signing with ATO Records. Since then, Joseph has been named a 2016 Spotify Spotlight artist, toured with James Bay and Amos Lee, performed on Ellen, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, CBS This Morning Saturday, “Later” with Jools Holland and prestigious festival stages like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and Outside Lands.
