!!! RELEASES “THIS IS THE DOOR” FROM FORTHCOMING LP WALLOP OUT 30TH AUGUST ON WARP RECORDS
!!! are back once again with the new single “This Is The Door”, a song perfectly timed for the dog days of summer. The dance-floor ready jam features group member Meah Pace on vocals and is the second single the band has released from their forthcoming new LP Wallop, due out on August 30th on Warp Records.
The balearic, soulful number is a perfect slice of dance-pop bliss. As the closing track on Wallop, the song is well suited for long, sticky summer nights, further showcasing the dynamic range of sounds contained on the new LP, following in the heels of the previously released “Serbia Drums”, “Off The Grid”, and “UR Paranoid”.
Wallop, the band’s eighth LP, is another stellar addition to the wildly impressive catalog they’ve built over the course of over two decades together and stands as a testament to their hardworking approach and ceaseless desire to push things further.
Recorded over the past year in lead singer Nic Offer’s Brooklyn apartment, the band picks up where 2017’s Shake The Shudder left off, further exploring the fringes of dance music with a focused edge, a care-free spirit, and their signature knack for big hooks, leading to new creative highs in a career filled with them. “Our process was to get loose and get into uncharted territory,” says Offer.

Doesn’t it seem like everyone’s freaking out lately? !!! know the feeling well. The NYC dance-punk lifers have been chronicling the perpetual meltdown that is American society for nearly 20 years now, from the clattering full-band thrust of their instantly iconic 2003 single “Me and Giuliani Down by the Schoolyard (A True Story)” to the dark disco of 2017’s wonderfully eclectic Shake the Shudder.
Their eighth full-length, Wallop, follows in the band’s grand tradition of plugging straight into our collective nervous system and sending funky, rubbery shock waves through the body politic. If you’ve found yourself rubbing your temples while contemplating the collapse of everything around us? Well, !!! are bringing the soundtrack to your next nervous breakdown….
