Adjy Announce Two-Part Single
“A Boy Called June”
Out Now On Triple Crown Records
Adjy the percussive, orchestral indie five-piece return with their new two-part single “A Boy Called June.” Following a long break after their 2016 EP Prelude (.3333), the band returns with new music this Summer Solstice out on Triple Crown Records. “A Boy Called June” parts 1 & 2 are streaming everywhere now.
Adjy is the brainchild of lead singer and principle songwriter Christopher Noyes. The band’s known for their layered, dramatic recordings that are topped only by their exhilarating live show. The band’s previous EP Prelude (.3333) was released in 2016 via Triple Crown Records.
A quote from Christopher Noyes on the new single can be found below.
“Cicadas toil underground in secret -sometimes for up to 17 years- waiting for just the right time to emerge and sing their infamous song of summer.
Similarly Adjy are emerging on the first day of Summer (June 21st 2019) with their own song, inaugurating a chapter in something much, much larger.
“A Boy Called June” Part’s 1 & 2 are both a humid, lake soaked hymnal lauding the hot, manic bliss of the last day of school and the first day of a mystic Summer as well as a wet-clothes anthem to the longing and restless, wide-eyed fire of youth.” – Chris Noyes
