Of re-working ‘Bombs Away’, Roosvelt said: “I love the disco influence the original has, and wanted to emphasize it with my remix. Sometimes there’s a vibe like this hidden in the track, and I love to take it and present the track in a new light. The idea was to take the rhythm guitar and the percussive elements and to build a dance track out of it, by repeating them and making them feel really hypnotic. At the same time i wanted to keep the structure of the vocals, so that it still has a connection to the initial vibe of the track.” Leo Pol added: “When I heard I would be remixing Charlotte Gainsbourg I felt so happy and honoured as I love her music and have a lot of respect for her career. I felt invested by the mission to stay true to my music, keeping all her vocals and making an accessible, happy and raw House music track”.

Produced by SebastiAn (Frank Ocean, Kavinsky) and mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Lorde, David Bowie), Gainsbourg’s last album ‘Rest’ was her fourth studio album and her first in seven years. The eleven songs on ‘Rest’ are nothing if not sure-footed, proffering a compelling fusion of gleaming, string-emblazoned modern electro-pop and cinematically textured avant-chanson—their magical music box melodies kissed by bruised, introspective, occasionally disquieting lyrics.
