Release New Track ‘Paradise Drive’

New Album ‘Levitation’ Out 3 May via Moshi Moshi Records

Flamingods unveil brand new disco krautrock banger ‘Paradise Drive’, an elongated funk rager instantly hitting in with an infectious groove that is deftly punctuated by cowbells and shimmering synthesized arpeggios. The track, influenced by the international disco and funk sounds the band grew up with, features a guest spot by Mikey of Snapped Ankles and hits their unique blend of psychedelia out the park. Flamingods have managed to channel these influences, whilst adding a fresh swagger to effortlessly create one of their most immediate songs yet.

‘Paradise Drive’ is the second track Flamingods have revealed from new albumLevitation,’ 3 May via Moshi Moshi Records and comes hot on the heels of the multi-sensory psych-rock trip of Marigold giving us a tantalising glimpse of at what is set to be one of the most hair raising releases of 2019. The album builds on their formidable influences to apply a vision soaked in mysticism, positivity and sun-drenched imagery.

‘Levitation’ is the follow-up to Flamingods’ breakthrough 2016 album ‘Majesty’ and follows the ‘Kewali’ EP for Moshi Moshi and a one-off release with Dan Carey for his Speedy Wunderground singles club in 2017. During this time, they’ve performed live sessions at 6Music (with Gilles Peterson & Lauren Laverne), KEXP, Boiler Room and travelled the globe spreading their exotic psychedelia to the masses, getting people dancing from Austin to Amsterdam.

The band will be taking their incendiary live show to venues around the UK in May, tickets are on-sale at
